1972 Bulova Micro-Rotor Automatic w/ Date Dial & Crosshairs.
I would love to know the specific model name, etc.
Attractive design. Unfortunately, I am not finding a model match.
Typically, these micro-rotor watches fall under the Ambassador line, but that would also be on the dial.
Movement model is correct for case 7284.
Unknown model for now.
nice one, thanks for sharing it.
Unknown for me as well
This is an unusual one. it looks to be a Golden clipper case but with a date only dial and micro rotor movement. Also interesting is the M9 date code on the movement pushing the movement date back to 1969 in a 1972 case. Unknown for me.
Being 1972 I didn't have any luck last night either. I still hold out that we can one day find the missing 1968 and 1972 linebooks that will open up IDing these watches.
Thank you all for your information!
Does anyone here know someone who could service this watch? It runs, the automatic wind seems to work well, but it runs really fast, then the minute hand stops when it gets to the 51 mark, but the second hand continues. Someone told me that I may have a loose cannon pinion (I don't know what that means). They declined attempting to repair it.
TIA,
Boyle
