Watch Description

This watch is from Canada.

Under the serial number it says N2. I didn't see this model in any of the watches on your web page or the adverts. I see similar watches, but the face is different, they have a date mechanism, the crown is in a different location and they do not have the 10K gold plate. The serial number comes up empty.

I got this watch from my Father-in-Laws estate. It was given to his brother in 1975 as the "Gold Watch" for 25 years service. He passed away in the mid 90's. I don't know when the watch was last serviced, but I don't think the battery would last from the 90's.

The watch is running but it runs fast.

My guess on the fast running is the voltage of the battery. Accutrons took a lower voltage battery than those currently widely available. I'm not an Accutron guy, but I'm sure another member can help you with this. I believe a competent Accutron repair person can re-calibrate the movement to function with a new higher voltage battery.

Here is an entry from Bulova 1973-1974 LinebookBAWDO186 that looks like it's a match, it's the only one I find even close.

The face is different as the one I have says Bulova above the Accutron.

Is it possible someone changed the back to one stamped N2?

I have read some of the comments about diodes to cut down on the voltage.

Thanks for your input.

it looks like the Bulova or Accutron was added after the fact.  They don't seem to be aligned on your watch.   EIther way I am OK with a 1972 Bulova Accutron.

What a beautiful watch, I love it! Heirloom watches are so special, congratulations. I submit the watch is all original (and in amazing condition)
