This watch has been offered to me and I am hesitating to buy it. The movement seems from 1966? and the case from 1970. Was that common? And was this one US or Swiss made? Strange thing is that on the inside of the case is engraved 'Germany'. How come? All information is very welcome. Thank you so much,
Emile
The 10COAC movement is correct for case reference #2591, so that is a good sign. German made cases of this era are also normal.
Although a 1966 dated movement might suggest a replacement movement, the model is still correct for this watch.
Either way we would tend to date the watch to 1970 based on the case. If we find a dial match only in 1966 then it's highly possible that the case and movement (+dial) are a marriage,
We'll examine the official linebooks we have to determine what might ne.
