Thanks! You are all amazing. I posted this, went out for the night and when I get back, you have it all figured out.
I love vintage watches (obviously) and I think these unusual shapes and designs are wonderful. This one strikes me as somewhat Brutalist, all hard-edged blocks and rectangles scattered on the square dial without any curved lines. There's even asymettry between the 12 and 6 marker as well as the 9 marker and date window. Overall it has an abstract look to it, a break from the basic circles and symmetry characteristic of most watch designs.
Right now it isn't running, which is why I got it off eBay for only $20 + shipping. Removing the barrel and applying slight pressure to the center wheel caused it to 'tick', so I'm sure a thorough cleaning will get it running again. I also bought a spare 7 EDAD movement, just in case.
I have a some other projects to complete before I can get to this one but hopefully it will be running again in a few weeks. Thank you all so much for your valuable help and insight!
