18k water-proof gold bulova from "excellence" collection, possibly from commander series, with possible after market band
First for the site - in 1969 this was called the Sea King "DZ" (prior to that it was the Goldcraft "DD")
1969 linebook 170

Wow! Great sleuthing! It's water proof, though, not just resistant. Do you still think it's the same one?

The photo does show waterproof on the dial, and this is about the time that Bulova was transitioning away from waterproof and going to water resistant.
Great advert match Ken. 1969 Bulova Sea King DZ is spot on. mtorres8, for the record, I would not consider this watch waterproof OR resistant. 56 years on in life it needs to be treated carefully as do all vintage watches. Have it serviced if you're going to wear it and yes, the band is an aftermarket replacement
Unless a vintage watch has been specifically serviced and tested for its water resistance, I agree with Geoff, that wearing a vintage whilst swimming or even immersing it into water will probably end in the watch needing to be fixed down the track.
Good ID: 1969 Bulova Sea King "DZ"
