Nice little ladies wristwatch. SS back 10K RGP bezel. Inside back cover notes, 2983 89 , Movement M9, Case date code M9 At present non running, Sending it to my local watch repairer for evaluation. Only cost $1 in an estate sale so should be worth repairing.
I am not sure about the year, would welcome some advice.
The year of the watch is on the back cover
It is a letter/digit code...yours looks like it is N0 which would be 1970.
The letter stands for the decade (1970's) and the zero would be the year of the decade...in this case 1970...M= 1960's, L = 1950's , A= 1946 to 1949.
There should also be a letter/number code like this on the movement.
Ahh missed that area.
Will take a closer look tomorrow.
Thanks
There should be a date code on the movement too. Same coding system Old Ticker mentions above. Watch style does look 1970'ish.
NOCTURNE "Y" . 1970 ad.

Thanks Bobbee.
Well spotted.
Good ad match. Nocturne "Y" from me. A first for the site.
Have we confirmed the date of this watch? I'll vote once we have.
Date code on case is M9. 1969. Date code on movement M9. Had to ammend this initially thought it read N0, upon closer inspection now have correct date.
Now a few years back IDing this would have been very hard.
Nice work!
