There's rhyme and reason to the ALACD 'code'.
A = Automatic
L=?
A=?
C = Center seconds.
D = Date display.
I'll see if I can find the chart explaining.
11ALACD is also found in the late 60's early 70's 'SEA KING'.

ALACD movement is not uncommon. Someone added the floating seconds to make it interesting.

agreed, the Seconds Hand is non Bulova - 11ALACD is quite common.
Watch looks like it was a 'DATE KING' at some point.

The secs hand is awefull...the min and hr hands would look good lumed as they should be tho....
