Watch Description

Purchased in Vietnam in 1968. I don't want to damage the watch by opening without knowing about the time set dial on the back. Looking for more information on this model.

Before you even try to open this type of watch you will need an Accutron case wrench like this...

But I'll save you the trouble and show you what you would see...

Only yours will have a case ink stamp of 640-2 because yours is the stainless steel ver of this watch, Swiss Made, Hidden Spaceview, The case #640-2 and it has a stainless steel back and bezel.

The Swiss made chapter ring watches are some of my favorite Accutron 214 watches, Do you have any more picture other the watch ?

I thought I had added photo of the back but maybe will show later? Yes, stainless case. I couldn't find something similar with the boxed logo on the face.Thank you for your information and photos so I don't have to try opening this.

Hello newtonstl, welcome to myBulova. This is a nice looking Accutron. I've looked through our adverts and see several watches that are similar but none exactly like yours. I think we should ID your watch as an Accutron but I don't see a further classification as to a variant (sub classification). Thanks for sharing it.

For sure the Movement Model: is a 214H, It's what Bulova Swiss put in all their Accutron 214 model watches other than the Astronaut watches which used the 214HN movements...

I'd like to get a better look at the serial number on the rear cover...
