It's a BULOVA "SENATOR." And that is apparently the correct cystal. (Although there is also a non "diamond edge" on that fits it, as well... And I believe I have both? I also have that model soon for sale, by eBay reseller: "el-ooose," in England.)
Best :-) Scott
Thanks again Scott,
This has a "Diamond edge" and is Glass.
If you have a Glass version like it, I may get one for a spare, this one is in good shape, but I do wear it on occasion.
Thanks,
Greg
After researching this watch...I think it's an "Engineer" not a Senator. Check it against the 1964 Ad. Senator was square, and Engineer has the "cut-corner" bezel. Maybe I'm wrong...but that's what it looks like to me. Rob
dis here Engineer? 1964 ad

The Fall 1964 Bulova model/price list has 13 Engineer variants. None of the prices for these variants are consistent with prices for other time period models which have a "diamond dial".

Ya...that's what I was thinking...I have a NOS case just like it but White Gold. It looks to have notched corners (not cut corners - sorry!) and the bezel extends up & down between the lugs unlike the Senator.
I'll be looking for a dial for mine if anyone has one. I prefer the dial in the "Engineer I" Ad as this is what I think it is. Rob
I am not sure what to think of this model anymore, I finally found the Diamond Edge crystal to fit this and it is named Excellency "D" along with reference numbers 1146E-2 and case number 2687. It measures 23.8 x 22.2 mm with curvature on both measurments. The GS part number is CMY308-33A
I will post some pictures of the crystal packet and the White Gold/Black Diamond dial (twin) that I have in the next couple of days.
The '66 BB catalog lists a CMY2386 with out the Diamond Edge as fitting a Senator 'I' (same spec's as the Diamond Edge) and the Engineer 'I' & "J" taking a CMY2299 with the same curvatures and measuring 22.9 x 21.9 mm. The Senator crystal just doesn't fit this watch.
Is it a Excellency "D" or a Senator? the Engineer crystal is too small and not a Diamond Edge style...

I think the 1146E-2 is the Bulova crystal #. Unfortunately I don't have any info on Bulova crystals.

I think your right Darren, the 2687 is the case number.
I agree with OT that this is not the Engineer I. This model is routinely seen with the diamond edge style crystal, which is not shown in the ad, and the dial is different on the Engineer.
In reply to I agree with OT that this is by NOVA
Routinely Seen?
