I think this might be a Date King, the nearest I can get to it is a Date King NY , which appears to be identical except for the ebony face , see ad. Nice 'linen' effect face and Kreisler band . Not sure the crown is original as it is unmarked? The 11 ALC movement looks to be dated M4 but the movement list shows that model starting at 1965 .

You are close with the "NY" black dial; looks to be the same case with the black dial.
Your watch looks to be the "AD"; with the original band maybe.
