Hi All, I have an old watch which I am trying to find a little more information about. All I know is the watch was made in 1965. On the back of the casing it reads M5 2-66494, Inside case reads CB 484, on the back of the Movement it reads Swiss M7 17 Jewels Seventeen, and then in a little ingraved boxed area it reads 7 BEACD. All the writing on the back of the movement is written in gold. Judging by some of the fine watches I have seen on this site it doesnt look like mine would be of any importance or value, but any information would be appreciated.

My guess is a Date King varient from 1965. There were a bunch of them, they had a two letter deliniation for the model, ie. Date King AK, etc. The thing this has going for it is that it is a square faced selfwinding watch with a date function.
That makes it a little more rare.
Unfortunately I did not find any 1960's ads showing this watch. There were square case Date Kings, and this could be one of the numerous variants available to this model that we have not seen; or it could be one of the many models yet to be discovered. Have to call it Unknown for now. Nice looking watch!
Interesting inside case back hallmarks. Not seeing Bulova, but OP does state M5 on outside case back, along with a hyphenated six digit case serial number. As now entered (case sn 484) is from inside case back in rectangle, and may be a case number which identifies a crystal size for watch?
Case Catalog confirms this is the correct movement for case 484, no other info to help us id this one.

This clearly appears to be the Edwardian as shown in the 1971 ad. I wonder if the date is wrong on the watch. I don't have any documentation that this model existed in 1965. I wonder it it really is a M9 for 1969 when the Edwardian family was launched. If the owner could double check the date code on the back that would be great.

I meant Edwardian Family. The Edwardian had quite a few variants as this dial is slightly different in design but same construction.
Found in the 1966-1967 Line Book BAWD0164 Page 21 of 66. Unfortunately no name just model number
