its a non-conforming 1965 with movement 1966, but i cant find an ad with this case/lugs..... maybe the linebook can put the light on this one.

This is the Dulcie "F" I believe and a first yellow variant for the DB, the variant changed a couple of times with 1962 being the last I could find.  A 1-year difference in the movement and case is totally normal and does not put it into Non-Conforming.  Looks like we start seeing this model around 1958 and the last ad I could find on newspapers was 1963 but it was obviously around until 1965.  The last linebook I could find is 1962.

Martin,

We often see Bulova cases and movements dated to within a Year or so of each other.

The case was manufactured in 1965 then assembled in 1966, thus the 1966 movement.

The watch is 1966.

Yes we go by the case date now, not the latest date.  The case is the constant of the watch with the movement being able to be replaced so we decided the case should be the determining date.

I do not know when the case date idea of dating a watch came into play but logic indicates the watch is,  in realty, of 1966 production.
