Looked fairly deep and couldn't find a match for this one. Both case back and movement are marked M5. My best guess is something along the Minute Man line, only because the lugs are spread out to the side, but I have faith that the panel will shed more insight. Case is 27mm in both width and length, 34 lug tip to tip. Case back has no markings of any kind on the inside. Movement is running strong and it is keeping accurate time. Sorry to keep hitting the panel and members with ID questions, but I really do appriciate it!
Thank you, Dane
We like to see new models, even unknown ones Dane!
Lovely looking watch with a good, solid chunkiness about it. A 'man's' watch with just a touch of flamboyance about it with that finish to the bezel, typical of the sixties.
Great, but unknown to me.
interesting how many undocumented watch appearing

We have ads for square "Date King" variants, with this "GG" in a similar case. We have some square Ambassadors from this time (some w/ Ambassador on dial, some w/o Ambassador on dial), and a couple square Senators- both match 17 jewels, but the cases are slightly different. Similar cases as Engineers, Goldcraft, and some others, but no "case match".
Subject watch has the distinct squared crystal opening, where most of the above have slightly rounded corners to the crystal opening.
I'm looking for our 1960's ad with text that says something like "its cool to be square" or similar wording.
Holding out on the ID for now....

Unknown, nice looking watch Dane.
Bobbee I think you originally found that ad im looking for. Do you remember that ad with all the square watches w/ square bezels and dials w/ wording like "its no longer square to be square". I've looked all over for it, and it may have been in a comment box in a spicific watch record vs in the 1960's forum ad thread.
It had several square watches similar to subject, which I gotta call Unknown for now.
I'll look, but I don't remember it Will! :-)
