This was from an estate sale. I will try to get to Bulova dealer to open and photograph internals.
Since it doesn't have a stem and crown, it should have a 214 movement and is of the accutron family. I highly recommend having the watch serviced and a new batttery installed.
Hello texag, welcome to myBulova. This is a nice old Accutron you picked up. I'm leaning toward a model 412 but the advert I found is from 1965 not 1975. I didn't think Bulova was still producing the 214 movement watches in 1975 (the model with no winding crown). Is it possible the date code in M5 and not N5?
Agree for now with a generic Bulova Accitron 214, model number still pending as there are a few candidates. Example model '232'
Wow! I had no idea they went for so much! This unit has a little wear on the crystal, what would be a fair cost for getting the crystal replaced and polished up? I don't know if jewlery places are like car repair shops, that is, they take you for what they can get!
It is a lovely watch, the face has gotten a nice patina from age. I most definately scored a bargain. I will try to visit the dealer this weekend.

Case stamp looks more like a M5. Also I just noticed the engraving J.O SEAL6
