I believe I have matched this to a Bulova 30 "UW". Do you agree? The back case says Bulova M4, 10KT RG Plate, Waterproof, and H414795
I'm embarrassed to say I can't figure out how to open this case to perform proper cleaning and provide movement details. If you know how to open this watch, please message me or reply to the thread. It would be much appreciated, and I promise to upload new pictures when cleaned ;)
I agree with your match, this is the Bulova 30 "UW" (became the Commander "AB" in 1966).
As for gaining entry to the case, there are two steps: 1- separate the two-part stem, 2-remove the crystal with a crystal removal tool.

Thanks for the direction on the two-part stem! It took some work, but it finally came apart.
This watch has had a good life. Nice custom dial.

Love the custom dial. Rare to see a service award on the dial. 1964 Bulova 30 UW is a good match.
I agree, service award dials are not the norm; named dedications such as this are usually engraved on case back.

Thanks for the identification assistance and direction on removing the movement.
It cleaned up nicely!
