This is a 1963 Accutron I received from my grandfather. I do not want to take the back off until I know exactly what I am doing. I do not know much about it. I believe this is just a basic straight lugs with a basic 214 dial. The back is stamped Bulova, Waterproof, K54128, M3, 10KT Gold Filled, Patented.

This watch looks to be a match to the variant '401', as seen in this ad. You are correct that this would have the 214 model movement. If you ever get the caseback removed you should see a case stamp with the number 2387.
