I have not opened the watch so I have not seen the movement. I'm going to send the watch in for a service estimate so I may know more some time later. I have researched the watch markings and I assume it is from 1960. The 14k case was made by Jonell Watch Case Inc. on Long Island. Jonell also made the case for Elvis's Omega.
I've matched this watch to the Regatta "BW". Possible first for the database.
Nice example
1960 linebook

Note: the manual wind models are called Regatta - without the 23 in the name

Thank you. This gives me something to search for. These old advertisements are a trip down memory lane. I was a watch guy from about age 7 when my uncle gave me his old watch when he got a new one. I remember it was square but that's about all I remember except it was eraser to take apart than put back together.
I can help you with service, please email
centralhsd@earthlink.net for details.
Thank you

email sent. It appears to have a fine movement worth restoring.
The Regatta linebook looks like a nice match.
1960 Bulova Regatta "BW".
Also a good pickup Ke with the Regatta name ratherthan Regatta23.
