Interesting 1959 Bulova "23" in white gold RGP with snap on stainless back. Dial is a silver/charcoal grey and has a pattern like the grooves in a vinyl record. Band is a period Baldwin scissor replacement. I haven't attempted to open this one up for fear of damage. Does not show any evidence it has ever been opened.
I have included a 1959 ad snippet that appears to be the same watch although it makes no reference to dial or variant; just "new ultra-thin".

Hmm, I'm wondering whether a charcoal dial was put in a white case. I want to look around a bit on this one.
This is actually the second one of these with identical dial I have owned. I passed the other to my brother. There are currently only 2 watches in the Db (Bulova 23 - no variant) in this case. A 1959 and 1960. Both have this same dial (charcoal).
Charcoal or slate, I love these dials!
I agree with 1959 Bulove 23.
Agree with Bulova 23, I could not find a variant for this one.
1959 Bulova 23. Nice looking watch, really like the dial.
