Watch Description

When I purchased this watch, I thought this watch was a Clipper; then I believed to be a Commodore, but now I'm not so sure. Therefore, I will need your help, to identify this model from Bulova. God bless you.

This is a tough one. I want it to be a Clipper too but I just can't get past that it isn't self winding.

I have to go with Unknown as well.

This sure looks close to this 1959 Neptune ad.   Slightly different wording on the dial Waterproof vs Selfwinding.   Markers hands and second hand are an exact match.  Just putting this out here for discussion.

Are we absolutely sure this is not, or never was, an automatic? I have seen Bulovas with the auto winding mechanism removed, making them hand-wind only. This is usually due to the auto mechanism being damaged or otherwise rendered inoperable.

This looks like it is a 1958 Snorkel noting waterproof is missing from the dial in the ad but the case back says Watertite based on the 1958-1959 Line Book BAWD0136 page 38 of 130.

Noting the font of 6 being a match.

As the subject does not state 'Automatic' or 'Selfwinding' I think we can rule out the Neptune.

A 1958 Bulova Snorkel works for me.
