Believe this to be a 1957 Gedney, based on Lisa's conclusion for an identical watch: http://www.watchophilia.com/photogallery/bulovas-1950-1959/a1957-gedney/ No ads supporting this hypothesis.

Unknown.
Yeah, I'm going Unknown too. I'll take crystal specs as confirmation but not as primary ID.
Unknown, but a close second would be tentative Gedney. Am I seeing an L7 on both the 17 jewel mvnt and the outside case back?
Looks like L7 to me, will have more info when this unknown soldier arrives.

I dunno this watch either. Almost looks Senatorish, but heck... Gedney crystal fits, it could be that as well. We need an ad! Hah.
Unknown for now
Proof that this model existed at least until 1959. Note the different crystal, this could help provide more info, if the crystal catalogs carry that kind of detail.

Thanks Mike...and your example is housing a SWISS movement (BXW). Is this your watch? Is it in the watch database? please adn thnaks
In reply to Thanks Mike...and your by William Smith
No, this 1959 example was found browsing the interwebs for more info on the one I bought. I didn't think it appropriate to include it in the watch database since I don't own it, but didn't see any issue with displaying it as "another example" in the comments section.

I remembered, we have three 1953 ads for a Gedney model here. Quite a different beast, and only three years apart from subject watch if we are using crystal specs.
