Bulova 1956 Albatross

I believe this to be a 1956 Albatross according to an advert in the database on this site. I couldn't find another watch that looked more similar in the ads or in the model database, so the Albatross seems to be the best fit. I'm 99% sure that the hands have been changed by a jeweler that I took it to (another reason I no longer go to there).   It's equipped with the 17 jewel 10CSC movement, but the movement is dated 1952 (L2), while the case is dated 1956 (L6), which seems like too large a time difference to be original. The case looks to be steel, and other than scratches, looks to be in nice shape. I was most surprised by how the case opens on this watch. I'd never seen anything like it before. It can be seen in one of the pictures.  Another watch that I can't remember where, when, or how I got it. But it's a nice, simple, and clean watch that's a little more understated than my other watches. I hope to find the correct hands in the future to get it back to looking as it should.
