Looks to be a marriage between a Phantom case and a Senator FW dial (?) but the markers and inner ring are yellow with red dots on the ring ,unlike others on the site , refinish job? Remarkably clean , although bought knowing the crown/male stem had become detached , My first venture into a top loader innards and reattached stem as nothing was broken and now running ok so will see if it stays that way.
Your watch looks to be a match for the 1955 Bulova Senator "FW" as shown below.

Hi, but the lugs are notched on the Senator , on my example they are not ,
Good catch. I think in that case (excuse the pun) the case and movement are not an original pair, which would explain the 2-year difference between the movement (1953) and case (1955).
I've searched quite a bit and believe this is indeed a marriage of parts.
1955 Non-conforming.
Agree looks to be mixed parts.
1955 Non-Conforming
I expected it be classed as such, more than happy .
On comparing the different components the 10BUC movement is compatible with a Phantom , although from differing years and it seems the Senator dial is the odd one out, especially, as I have suggested, that it looks to be a refinish . Also would that account for the male stem falling out now and then as although it locks in ok the dial seems a bit loose in the case and the whole movement moves around a little bit.
In reply to I expected it be classed as… by davep
I would guess the movement of movement is due to the dial being slightly smaller than the original for the case. As for the stem, I don't know.
The Phantom model was also the one I thought of when comparing the case style.
