1955 Bulova 23 "K" is a good match.  Based on your name and the watch engraving I suspect this is a family piece and is worth restoring.

Hello Richard Johnson, you've had this watch along, long time! 1955 Bulova 23 K

Thank you all. This watch belonged to my father; he received it as a high school graduation gift from his parents, and I have now inherited it.

I am looking for a waterproof gold crown for this 1955 Bulova. The winding stem is a Tap 8, and the case features a pendant tube that is 2mm long with a 2.55mm exterior diameter. I'm finding most Bulova standard crowns are designed for going over a 2mm tube, I am having trouble finding one that fits. Does anyone know the specific model or part number for a gold crown that will accommodate this 2.55mm tube?

I would like to get it restored, but I'm not sure where to take it or if the rolled gold plate can be restored, as there are lots of splits and worn-through areas. I live in Bloomington, Minnesota. If you know where I could take it or send it, please let me know.
