White metal case with two piece back. Inside back reads, "Bulova", 10K Rolled Gold Plate Bezel", "Stainless Back", "New York". Back center has L5 date code and serial number. Outside is wrapped with, "Shock Resistant", "Anti-Magnetic", "Stainless Steel Back", "Bulova", "WaterTite" with stars, and "Self-Winding". Dial face is really nice with a rib textured brushed steel look. Middle top of dial has, "Bulova" and "23 Jewels", while the lower has, "Selfwinding", "Six Adjustments"., White Gold Filled "Speidel" replacement expansion band that matches quite well.....has,"Speidel" and "PAT. 2,689,450" on each link and 10K Gold Filled on each end. This is a good running watch. Looks to be a 1955 Bulova 23.
Nice one and one of my all time favorite faces.

Confirmed, the Bulova 23 "B" is indeed listed as white gold in the linebooks.

I finnally looked up the watch band patent number and it is contemporary to the watch, being sometime between 1954 and 1955.
