10K RGP 30.8mm case with stainless flush back and bezel snap ring around crystal. Case back dated L3. I am assuming this is a front load case. It appears to have never been opened. My guess is 17J as the face isn't marked with jewel count. Glossy smooth black face with gold arrow markers, numbers, second hash marks and hands. Bulova signature is also in gold print . Dots and tiny arrowheads on hands appear to have been lumed. Interesting stepped double lugs. Runs and keeps time. Minor plating loss on lug high points. Shiney black face and a polished crystal made this one difficult to photograph.
Searched the database and found nothing. Hopefully it's in here somewhere and I missed it.
Found it in a 1955 ad on site - Sea King "A"
First one for the database if I'm correct in my ID. Ad lists "A" as black face and "B" as white.

There's more than just the dial color difference between the '53 Sea King "A" and "B". The hands are different as well as the number font and the number layout. The "A" matches the ad but pictures of the "B" that are in the DB don't.

Thanks for the hand Geoff.
Black Dial 1953 Sea King "A". Very nice addition and identification.
