Very cool heirloom watch! After finding nothing for 1953, I ended up doing a "fast forward" in the linebooks and got lucky. This entry in 1956Linebook129 appears to be your watch. Everything is a match except dial, which may be a year difference thing 1953 vs. 1956 or perhaps Yellow gold (pictured) vs. White gold.

1953 Debutante "B" gets my vote.

My grandmother only wore the elastic band - so if this was hers , not my mothers, than indeed it is a very possible, because she would have changed the band.

Is this one possibly the Lenore, seen here, with a matching dial, and without jewel count confirmation to be 21 that the Debutante uses.

Well done, Ken! Lenore is a dial match indeed. Gap between ad dates and watch date makes this a tough one. Jewel count of movement could be a deciding factor. You have moved me to Unknown pending verification of movement jewel count, but I'm leaning towards Lenore.

Nice work gents. I'm certainly leaning towards a Bulova Lenore also as it is a nice match to the one shown in this advert.

Confirmation that the movement is in deed 17 jewels would confirm this ID.

Very nice heirloom from your mother.  The bands were often replaced.  Nice ad match guys.
