Gotta love the 50's diamond dials. This one is in excellent physical and running condition received as seen, Yellow gold plate case and back with white 3 diamond dial, mounted on a Kreisler gold plated scissor expansion band . No matter how I photographed this one, it reflects light and looks like there is plating wear on the inside vertical corners of lugs, which is not evident under magnification. I have been hunting this model for a while; now to find a black dial one......
1953 Clifton Interesting that this is the 6th Clifton downloaded to the database with either black or white dial, and all are case dated 1953.
Another beauty for your diamond dial collection, congrats! I love the dial on this one a lot. I just purchased a 1953 price list. Could have a variant for you after I receive it!

Thanks, Kathy!
According to the linebook 132 from 1957, the yellow case (white dial) would be the 'A' variant.

Clifton 'A'
Nice catch on the line book Ken!
Clifton "A"
Yes, Ken. Good catch. It never occurred to me to go that far forward in the timeline looking; as all examples identified so far are dated 1953.
Well found!
1953 Clifton "A"
1953 Bulova Clifton "A" is a match.
I judge watches by may factors, including the crown. When I see that tiny little groove around the middle I know I'm looking at a watch that did not get wound very often (which translates to WORN very often). With this watch I clearly see that groove. 1953 Bulova Clifton A - very nice condition
