19K White Rolled Gold curved Bezel with two bevelled extrusions at the centre of the body. 21 Jewel 10BM movement stamped with "L2" date code. Silver face with gold hands. Missing Sub second hand. Numerals on 12, 3 & 9, sub second replaces 6 numeral. Rear case stamped with ID serial number 522270, "L2" and 10K Rolled Gold Plate bezel.. Cannot locate a lookalike of this quite distinctive design anywhere, so appreciate help in ID'ing this scruffy old relic
Everything points to a 1952 Bulova Ambassador. The case is a match to the Ambassador "C" (non-flared lugs vs the "A" case) with a slightly different dial or the design has worn off. It should be noted the black dial has no inner dial design but is white. I would classify this as a 1952 Bulova Ambassador "C".

'AMBASSADOR'
*being that the dial is a match to the "D" but in Silver or White the model variant is not known.
The "Ambassador" is listed as having a 17 jewel movement. The Bulova in question has a 21 jewel movement.
Good catch on the jewel count mercury. I would say will would need to call this an Unknown if we can't find an ad match with a 21 jewel movement or assume it is a replacement and call it an Ambassador with a replacement. With the unique shape of the case I am inclined to go with Ambassador. I did search the ads and didn't find an match.
I missed the 21J movement. I change to unknown but wonder if this was a movement swap.

L2 movement, L2 case.
I highly doubt it's a swap.
21J 10BM in 1952, an unseen 'PRESIDENT' variant maybe.
