1952 Bulova Air King I love the design of these and the Berkshire. Purchased the watch via an ebay auction. Refurbished the case and movement myself. Dial original. Came with funky band. Movement shot is during dismantling for service.
Man, that is another nice one! Well done! If the crown is original, the groove showing down the center of the ribs means it wasn't worn/wound very much for a 70 year old watch! This one was originally offered on black suede, but I really like the band and would keep it myself. One of my very favorites (I currently have 2) and a true "bucket list watch" for most serious Bulova collectors!

Thanks for the kind words.
I didn't know about the groove on the crown. Is it an aesthetic feature?

Not 100% certain why but in this era a crown had that center groove. To Bob's point it can be an indication of how much it was wound/worn.
Gorgeous example and great band.
