Watch Description

1951 Bulova in a 10k rgp case with stainless back. It has an 8AC 17 jewel movement. It's easy to identify. Bulova must have only made these in 1951 for some reason. I think it's a very attractive model.

I've had this one for several years and never noticed that all the others posted on here have 8AD movements and mine has an 8AC. I think it came that way from the factory because it fits snug and perfect in the case back and the date code is correct.

Wow that is a really unique case and great looking watch.  Here is the 1951 ad Jim found confirming the model.

I think we determined at some point previously that this ad is a misprint, and the price lists ID this as Wilshire.

Yes.  1951 Bulova Wilshire.  The bracelet on the subject watch works so much better.
