Rectangle dial. Looks like gold numbers and pyramids to denote the hours. Hand winding watch. I can read the words "Gold" and "L1" on the back as well as "Apex" on the bottom of the back. I have not opened it.
Great ID by needs! Wonderful 14K watch.
1951 Bulova Kenmore.
Very nice...Kenmore
Is this watch gold or gold filled?
What value might be placed on this? I see very few comps besides the one in this thread and only understand so much about valuation.
I have a few watches from my father, and I'd like to understand the value of each, though I probably won't sell. I've seen a couple comments about it being gold filled, where it'd be worth a few hundred. If it was solid gold then we need to adjust to the spot, which more than doubles the price.
Now that this watch is almost 75 years old, it feels that much more special

The case is solid 14K gold which does add to the value. We do not try and give valuations here. There are too many variables.

Thank you so much!
Knowing that it is 14k, not gold filled, is the main detail I wanted to know.
I understand that valuation can really only be done after inspecting the watch in person with the back off, etc. There are also so few of these watches on the internet that I'm coming back to mine and the others on this site for any information.
