Picked this beauty up today at a local flea market on my lunch hour. Asked how much and bout fell over when the guy said 20 dollars. Beautiful and keeps time to the min. I was shocked i couldnt get 20 bucks out fast enough and try not to look excited. Awesome find i must say. case stamped L1 as is the movement. 15 jewel 10 BT 10K Rolled gold plate.
Checked ads for 1951 nothing like it. Or in watch data base either, Ok bobbee i found another unknown lol :-)
Jim - when checking ads, I usually start two, sometimes three years ahead of the date code - or the earliest case date code. Go back to 1950, I bet you find it (it's as plain as.....the watch on your wrist)
Thanks Geoff looks to be an Arnold to me
Excellent choice.
Good advice, Geoff.

Well done Jim, I think it's an Arnold too.
Score! Arnold.
Nice Arnold.
Thanks Geoff now i will search a year or 2 before and after when i post a new watch:)
Is the crystal glass or plastic?
My 1950 Arnold is plastic and I was wondering if I should have it changed out to glass.
Donald - there really is no reason to change it out. If it's damaged somehow you could consider a glass replacement, if you can find one.
