I'm sorry to say that I really don't know anything about this watch. I looked through thousands of pictures on the site and couldn't find it.
The number on the back appears to be 442864. In one of the photos you'll notice a 10K stamp and R.G.P. on the side of the watch.
I'm worried about trying to open it as I have never done it before and don't want to damage it. Any help in identifying the year and model would be most appreciated!
thanks in advance,
Mike Radzin
Welcome to myBulova. This is an interesting watch. It is what we call a Non-Conforming watch for ID purposes. The case not being from Bulova means we can not give it a name. Bulova cases say Bulova on them. These were usually put together by a jeweler and sold as their own creation. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Non-Conforming
I'm going to agree with Kathy. Non-Bulova case means Non-conforming. It's a cool watch, however we can't identify it as a Bulova model as seen due to the fact that all components are not Bulova produced. If it was mine, I think I'd nickname it my "Salvadore Dali watch."
The only way to assign a date would be to open it up and look for the date stamp on the movement. This would provide the date the movement was produced, but not necessarily the year the watch was assembled.
