This watch was found in my great-grandmother's jewelry box. She was born in 1897 and passed away in 1985. She was born in Winchendon, Massachusetts, and lived for many years in New Hampshire. Sometime between 1940-1950, she moved to Worcester, Mass, where she lived out her years.
The watch still works and I am wearing it today!
Welcome to myBulova and thank you for sharing your heirloom watch with us. How wonderful to be able to wear your great-grandmother's watch!
I know I have seen this watch before but so far I am not finding a match. I will keep looking.
I've searched until I'm cross eyed and got a headache and didn't find a match. The "Joy" is close but the lugs don't exactly match.
Not the subject watch, but interesting to see this model with the same lugs design.
Hi CarlieByer. Could you possibly verify what is stamped on the case back of your watch under the "Bulova" stamping? It looks like the second part is the number "9" to me, but I can't make out the first part. Is it "A9", "L9" or "49" or...... I've already spent about 4 hours searching for the identity of this watch and want to make sure I'm searching in the right time period. Thanks!

L0 is the engraving below "Bulova" on the back of the case.
I am coming up empty on this one. I could not find an ad match. Unknown for me.
It's got me baffled also. But I like unknown models. It keeps the search interesting. Carlie Byer, you've got a Bulova that is not a very common model. Thank you for posting it. Maybe one day it can be identified.
I might have found a name for this lovely Bulova. Let's see what the panel thinks. This is from an ad in a 1951 Kansas newspaper called the Council Grove Republican on Sept. 20th 1951.
This is the full ad.

Nice work. Advert certainly seems to match the subject watch. A new name is a plus!
Also seems that the word "Charmer" is the actual model name of this watch.
