Hi all
got this one two days ago. can anyone help in identifying it for me. I have looked through ads but can't find anything like it. Although the movement has a J9 stamped on it and is a 17 jewel 7AD. I think it has been swapped . as the case has the serial number 1211582, which is not a 1949 case number. It also has the words Bulova Quality stamped on the outside. there are no markings inside the case. The dial and crown are marked Bulova. It is rose gold in colour and judging by the black tarnish it had on it, it might be plated over silver but there are no marking to say so. the bracelet seems to be original to the watch.
thanks
George
Looks like a match to me. Advert mention it is a pink (rose gold) model.
Bulova Joan for me. If the movement is original then I'd say it's from 1951 with a 49 movement.
the only thing which makes the case seem much earlier than 51 is there is nothing marked on the case except the serial number and the words Bulova Quality.
It does seem odd that the case doesn't have a date code. I'm going along with Joan on this one too.
The Bulova Quality is interesting for a case back of rose gold. I'd expect 14K plate verbiage. Also, the case back looks very white or almost stainless. Different back markings from Ken's linked example.
I'm good w/ tentative Joan
