Rose gold but has off white face vs rose gold face like the examples in the database and a period correct bracelet although I don't know if this model came with this type of bracelet Went back to 47 and didn't see an ad for the Lieutenant
Sure looks like a Ranger to me but I don't think this type of band was used this late or that this model was made this late? Is it marked 14K gold filled or 10K gold filled and is the band the same? I believe the Lieutenant is rose gold filled and the Ranger yellow. It looks more yellow than rose on my screen.

Sorry about the photos. It is definitely rose gold and it just says Bulova on the back and 14K Rolled Gold Plate Bezel on the inside back.

Oh it is just hard to photograph the colors at times, at least for me.
it took a few different angles to get the rose to show red.

Reading the ad above I see what you mean
This one does have the raised gold numbers and gold hands vs black painted numbers and black hands. Maybe a Ranger movement in a Lieutenant case ??
1947 Advert shows this as Bruce. Note that it is available in rose (red) and has gilt numerals and hands. While I don't recall seeing this bracelet on this model it is one of my all time favorite designs.
1949 Bulova Bruce (engraved it was Cadet)
Nice match Geoff!
1949 Bulova Bruce "B"
Very cool, thanks
So I am assuming that my 50 engraved Bruce is so because there was no longer the Cadet after 1949??
wow..looking at that advert, if I swapped bracelets with this one and my 41 Broadcaster, I would wind up with proper bracelets on both. Cool
I changed out the bracelets. This one nows has an appropiate scissor band.
I also uploaded a new photo to my 41 Broadcaster with this bracelet that matches the one in the advertisement
