Yep I'd be confident in IDing this one as a 1948 Bulova Cadet "B", as the rose gold version which I think you have, unless the color is coming across wrong on my screen.

as you can see on these 3 pictures, the case back of the 42 and 48 are s.s. and the case of both are really yellow beside the prez e.
