This was a great restore that came out looking like the fantastic vintage piece it was meant to be after such a long time of neglect. I included one before picture to show the state outside to show what it was before and what it came to be. It now runs beautifully and looks great and other than the brand new band is completely original. Pieces like this are why I love doing this.

Pictures updated to show caseback. Case is 26mm and 33mm from lug to lug. Exact dimensions as an Air Warden among others.
Very similar - the Caseback is Stainless Steel so I agree with 1946.
ad is Dated 1941

although the Dial of the subject has more of a maritime feel.

Well, it's not a Skyhawk ( Black Dial ) but I'm on board with Air Warden.
No sub seconds dial.
