Hi bulova lovers !

I think i find a knickerbocker '45. As we never sure, i will let the community nail this one.

Maybe i already nailed it.....

not sure if its the good crystal....
its a triangle with a manual engraved square. so its a triangle.

we can clearly see the original triangle stamp on the movement. but for an unknown reason, someone try to engrave a square just over rhe triangle. maybe someone belive it was a clinton as my first search. but im pretty sure i have a knickerbocker '45

Dual date stamp on the movement, 1945 and '46.

 

*the Watch cannot be of 1945 production as the movement dates it to 1946.

hi, if you look closely, you can see the triangle was stamped first and the square in second..... probably a waranty repair....

anyway the triangle is a real stamp and the square is engraved by hand..... look again, you will see.

Hi,

 

The 'dual' datecode on a movement is not an uncommon occurance. ( I have one with 4 datecodes)

The consensus is that the movement would have been initially manufactured in 1945, completed and cased in 1946. 

 

The watch is 1946. imo
