Estimated 1960s or 1960s
Similar to the 1943 Bulova Empress but not engraved as per the subject watch. Variant or another model?
This 1945 Bulova Janet also seems a close match.
Ok I think I found a better candidate: The 1945 Miss War Worker "C".
Thank you. Any advice on what to do (or not do) with it?

It all depends on what you'd like to do with the watch. Most of us here would say have it serviced, polished and wear it. The cost to do so would out weight any return in sale value, but you'd have a watch that you could wear and enjoyed.
The 1945 Miss War Worker looks to be a good match but need to confirm the movement jewel count and date code. Can you post a picture of the movement please.
1945 Miss War Worker "C" looks like a good match. Agree it would be great to confirm the jewel count.

Is it common to have overlapping date symbols like that?

It's not very common, but it is something we have seen before.
