I must first admit I fall for personalized engraved watches. This is what appears to be a 1945 President in 14kt rose gold filled. It has an unusual 7AN 21J movement with triangle date code. The dial is copper with lumed arabic hour numbers and lumed hands. This model has the flat lugs as opposed to the round lugs on some President models. The back is beautifully engraved "Presented to George Crane by the staff SaskPool Elevators Ltd 14/2/47." It is currently on a yellow gold expansion bracelet that came with it but will be swapped to a period rose one shortly. I am not sure what variant the rose with copper lumed dial is. Can't seem to find one like it on the site. I have no reason to believe this is not original but it kind of has me stumped.
1945 Bulova President it is
That's a cool bit of Canadiana!
1945 President.
When I first started collecting I avoided inscriptions but I am with you now and enjoy them. It ads to the individuality of these beauties and a little piece of someones history.
Edit (per Ken's example): 1945 General
The radium Presidents were called General, I think...1943 example
