This was an exciting find b/c I really like the Art Deco style.
Bulova Ladies watch in 14 KT Rose Gold with one (1) Diamond and three (3) Rubies. The watch came with the original case and receipt, dating back to 10-17-45 @$135.00.
The ad has two different prices for the Elaine, one next to watch states $135.00, and at the bottom of the ad it states $125.00
Very similar to the 1943 Juliet, with the exception of the red round dots at the 3, 6, 9 and 12 hour markers.

I agree the solid gold cases don't always follow the norm. But I think some do like my little cocktail watch here that we dated by the case: www.mybulova.com/watches/1945-unknown-9812 . I'm ok with either date just talking it through.

The Elaine has a dated ad of June 23, 1944 from the News Journal, Mansfield, OH. (listed above with my watch info)
An additional unnamed Watch with photo and price of $135.00 in the Chicago Tribune, May 13, 1945.
The Mayflower has dated ads from:
An ad with no newspaper listed other than it's from 1945;

The Austin American, dated Dec. 12,1948.
