I am pretty excited to share this one. It is only the third example to be submitted to the database with a black dial in a rose gold case. I have never seen another besides the previous submissions. The FIRST ONE, s/n 4384895 was questioned whether dial was original, as we have no ad confirmation. This one seals it, as it is identical. 1943 dated 21J movement in a 1944 case; 14K rose gold plated with identical hands. Serial numbers are only 793 apart.

Some of the indices appear to bear traces of Radium on the outer 1/2.
1944 Commodore
An interesting note: all Commodores in this casing in the database are 21 Jewel. One of the referenced ads says 17J. I suspect the ad referencing a 17 jewel count is a misprint.
