I just love this era I think partly because my mom was born in 1944 and I think of how my grandparents started their family during such an uncertain time. I couldn't pass up on adding this Military Miss with a slightly better dial than the first one I picked up. The hands are different than my other two so I am not sure if they are original. I did find an ad that seems to have these hands so hard to say.
It has a 10K rolled gold plate bezel with a sterling base and stainless back. It has a 7AM 17 jewel working movement. Came with a new black leather band that matches nicely.
Nice one! I have a weakness for white gold w/black dials.
Question: Do you think those are initials on the back or a pirate exclamation of endearment?... (Ahr, Matey!) .......Sorry.

Thank you Bob! Yes the black dials are always nice. I think your rose gold with the black dial is one of the nicest combinations I have seen. This one is yellow with stainless back.
LOL it might be Matey!

Thanks. Shiver me timbers, by the first photo I though she was white gold.
1944 Bulova Military Miss, nice watch!

Thank you Geoff : )
Military Miss appears to be a good match. Looks like it should have the radium hands to match the dial.

Kathy, if you still have this watch and would like a set of new radium hands for it email me with an address and I'll send you a set. I've got several sets that I'll never use.
