I'm thinking Nighthawk...
Bulova Nighthawk looks to be a match. Advert dates to 1943.
+1
Night Hawk and Air Warden are the black dialed, round military themed watches of this era. Both had luminous dial. I don't think this is either. Bobbee brought us this ad several years ago. It's not quite clear enough but the dial does not appear luminous.
I'm tentative on Sky Hawk.

Found an advert that says the Sky Hawk had a lumious dial and hands as well.

Back to Unknown then........
All the adverts we see show the radium dial with a big square 'non closing' 9. We have a few of these models now like the subject watch that are all 'closed' 9's and is hard to tell if they were lumed at some point.
Rbikid, can you see any evidence of radium on the numbers?

Not that I can detect.
Panel members - Any suggestions?
Not sure what to make of this one, these tend to look a little like one or another model in the ads, but not exactly; Unknown at this time.
