Watch Description

Here is a fun one:  this tiny, tiny little thing is a rose gold 1943 Bulova mystery. a Ruth (different from the 4 point lug Ruth of the 1930s) according to the ad, but unknown if that was just a way to distinguish it as a rose gold Goddess of Time variant, which I've only seen advertised in this shape in yellow gold (both engraved and plain). This is by far the smallest tonneau I have, and 2nd smallest watch next to my teeny Benrus tank.

What think the panel?

Advert seems pretty clear that the Red/Rose/Coral 14K RGP version is the Bulova Ruth.

The yellow gold 10K RGP version is shown as a Goddess of Time.

My thoughts exactly. The only hesitation I had is in the ad likely belonging to an individual retailer and not Bulova directly. Therefore the possibility of a jeweler-assigned name exists, especially given that they used the same name for a wildly different design not even 10 years previous. I'd feel way more comfortable with another ad or line book proving or disproving it!

It's very Bulova like to do just that, reuse a model name many years later.

Here's another example with an engraved bezel that went by yet another name, Cleone, so it's certainly possible all the variants had different names rather than variant letters under one common model name.

Well dang it, now I have another to keep an eye out for. And to give it a mythological name like Cleone while looking like a Goddess of Time? Immaculate vibes, as the youths say.
