Watch Description

I am currently about to pull the trigger on buying this watch for myself. However, I strongly believe that the movement and the case are not original (mismatched).

It looks like a Gents but has characteristics of a Director. I don't know, but would love to resolve.

Could be a 1944 Bulova President "G".. Match for a solid gold case and 21 jewel movement.

Based on serial number starting with a "4" and I think I see a date code "x" on the movement, it looks to be a 1944. Jewel count, date and solid gold casing appear to be a match  as a President "G"

Thank you! I couldn't tell if it was an X or a T.  I certainly appreciate your time.

Thank you again!

BTW, the slanted numbers threw me off too. I was suspicious of a redial.

I question the dial as well. It doesn't appear to match the ad, however the ad is from 1946 and watch predates it by 2 years. Having no examples of this watch in the database to compare to also makes it (redial) a tough call for me personally.

Exactly. The dial matches the 'Gents' models exactly though. Not sure if in 1944 they just used that dial or it was swapped.

I think you've got a Pres G... But also imho the dial isn't original.  Those numbers aren't on anything at that timeframe I've seen.  It wouldn't be too hard to get an original dial for a President of that timeframe though.

Agreed on the President G ID with a replaced dial.  At least until confirmation from an ad.
