This is a 1942 14K rose rolled gold plate bezel with a stainless steel back. I think it might be the Eleanor from the ad I attached.
I have been trying to find something from the early 1940s in rose gold and I am pretty happy with this one. I have ordered a vintage cord band with rose gold clasp to bring it back to a more original state. Thank you for any help.
I believe Eleanor has arrived!. Welcome to the party! Feel free to mingle with the other guests, but be advised; you may want to avoid the Directors and Dictators..........

It's interesting that this watch with a metal band in yellow gold appears to become "Diana".

Thank you. Now seeing your close up I think so. Mine has the triangle on the lug just like that. Yes interesting that they would change the name for the yellow gold version.
1942 Bulova Eleanor she is. Do you have a photo of the back serial number you can add. I'd like to determine if it is in fact a C or a mistruck 0, which was very common.

It looks like a C to me but I did have to look at it under a magnifying glass to read it.
Very nice,
