This is not my watch but I received permission from the seller to post it for our records.

Sellers Description:

This is a very unique timepiece, a Bulova wristwatch dated from 1941. It has a stunning and fine two-tone rectangle case and lugs design, all in 10K gold filled. It is a manual wind watch, caliber 8AE, 17 jewels movement, sub-second hand, U.S.A. made. After +75 years, it still has a very unique rose gold dial with gold and silver applied hour marks and dark hands. The dial is signed with the Bulova name and the small second hand is located at 6. It is coming with a brand new black genuine leather strap. This is a very unique and stunning wristwatch, it is in good condition! Runs very well, keeps good time!

What's the go with the loop at the bottom?

Not having any luck finding an advert match. Unknown at the moment.

I suspect the loop is a jeweler add-on to hang a small charm on, either religious, fraternal or corporate.  I'm not having any luck with an ID, still looking.
