Didn't you give it the name Medical Officer? What was the source data for that name? Mine has the ruggedized look that fits a wartime Medical officer.
If Speigal is the advertizer that should be proof enough to change the watch name.

Nah that was Scott... he's the one ID'd the Surgeon's aka Doctor's I dig. He's the one that divulged the Surgeon, Physician, and Medical Officer model names.
Yeah... pretty cool to find a decent 1941 ad from that Spiegel catalog. I sent them to Admin... they're at weird angles as they're photo's of the Bulova's on there but hopefully Admin can make them usable.

Wayne.... I'm going to eat crow here I think... check this out... from a 1942 ad... maybe they changed it from the Regular to the Medical Officer? Who knows....

They have different dials so I think your safe in justifying a different model name. The 'Medical Officer' puts a military slant on this watch as does the radium dial. Where as the one above in the ad may have been a civilian version. Although what the hell is a Regulator, other than something that regulates the timing of a balance wheel.
I think its safe to say that this watch at the top is a "Military Officer' and the watch listed within the post is a civilian version called the "Regulator"
Stephen, You nailed that bang on!
Here in the U.S 'Regulators' during civil War times were groups of Civilian enforcers.
History class dismissed....
